Moonbird Workshop - Serenia the Tidemaw
Moonbird Workshop - Serenia the Tidemaw
With Summer starting to heat up, Talia has heft her sword and headed out on another "research mission" to find her next weapon to forge!
We couldn't resist joining in on the fun of MerMay and we figured the insect Kingdom of Wonderstone is bound to have its own sort of Mermaid/Siren/Nymph.. but ours has a little more chitin covering her skin.
We are very happy to introduce Serenia, the Tidemaw!
While most Anthrofolk in Wonderstone tend not to predate each other, there have been cases where it's been known to happen. These Anthrofolk usually don't congregate in towns or cities but prefer to keep to themselves in the wilds, hidden away from all the hustle and bustle of the tasty snacks- er, other Arthrofolk. The Tidemaw are one such case, being so aggressive and territorial that you'll only ever find one per body of water, but those ponds and lakes become quickly infamous and avoided. Luckily, there are very few of them seen in these recent days. So much so that they have become near-mythical themselves. Some Arthrofolk refuse to believe they exist. After all, who ever heard of a waterbeast who could metamorphose into flying death in the skies?
Serenia is a bit of an exception to her brothers and sisters. She is endlessly curious about her Anthrofolk neighbors just outside the shores of her pond and wandering the streets of Wonderstone City. While she would never dare to enter the city herself, she drifts her enchanting songs over the walls in the hopes someone might hear it and become curious about her in turn. While some might value their privacy and solitude, this is not the case for this Tidemaw.
Combat Ready:
Smart Anthrofolk know to stay away from the edges of the dark water! Tidemaw nymphs are born ready to hunt. After their grizzly meals, they instinctively use their victims' remains to fashion weapons to become even more deadly. Their blades are both tools and trophies!
Siren’s Song:
Tidemaw Nymphs have a reputation for their murderous demeanor but they are commonly amazing musicians. Their beloved instruments keep them company in their solitary lifestyle, and the sentimental music can be heard along the shoreline on dark, lonely nights.
Eating:
Though mostly carnivorous, Tidemaw nymphs are known to eat anything within reach. If you visit their ponds to hear their songs, be sure to bring a whole sack full of food to keep them occupied in case you are spotted. You won’t like them when they are hungry!

Post-Processing
Post-Processing
Unless specifically indicated otherwise, resin prints by default are Unsanded and Unprimed.
Due to the nature of the printing process, Unsanded and Unprimed models may include small imperfections from the removal of supports. When building supports and placing drainage holes on models, I do my best to place them in less conspicuous areas, though it isn't always possible.
Sanded and Primed models are intended to be ready-to-paint, with no further processing required on the customer's end. I do my best to repair and/or sand away visible support marks, with any remaining surface imperfections located either at the model's base or within hard-to-reach crevices.
B-Grade prints are sold as-is. Often they are the first prints of a specific model with minor flaws such as visible layer offsets or misplaced drainage holes. Occasionally B-Grade prints are broken, and will include all pieces for repair. Please feel free to inquire with questions about a specific B-Grade print.
Packaging
Packaging
Models made up of multiple pieces will by default ship unassembled.
Unsanded and Unprimed models will ship in bubble wrap or similar padding, but will not otherwise include aesthetic packaging.
Unless otherwise requested, Sanded and Primed models will ship with an iridescent zip-closure standing pouch and a full-color printed label. The pouch may possibly be shipped flat with the model to save the printed label from damage. Pouches can be but are never heat sealed on my end.
Older packaging may include minor wear and tear from travel to and from conventions, markets, and other shows.
If your Sanded and Primed order is a gift, please feel free to request fresh packaging.

My resin prints are always cured and
afterwards washed in warm water and dish soap. There may possibly be some lingering resin or spray primer odor which should disperse with exposure to open air.
