As we enter into Valentine's season, we ask: what says love more than protecting those most precious to you... and carrying around a giant shield to make that happen?

We are happy to officially introduce everyone to Petalward the Spotshell, mentor to Ollie and the oldest remaining member of the Crystal Order. While other knights would prefer the company of a large blade, Petalward prefers the Great Shield: a weapon which can be split in two for better mobility and can inflict blunt force damage. After all, everyone knows the best Offense is a great Defense!

Petalward has been part of the Crystal Order as far back as any living Arthrofolk can remember. He remembers times long past when the Order stood for discipline and embracing tradition, but it seems most have forgotten the Order's true purpose or simply don't care anymore. Most recruits join for the prestige that comes from carrying around a crystal weapon, yet barely any truly know the meaning behind it or why the Order began wielding pieces of the Wonderstone. Many years have passed since then, marked only by the generations of knights that Petalward has trained. All skilled, all capable, but all extremely vain... that is until one small Roller stepped into Petalward's training ground.

Petalward sees true potential in Ollie and the knight he could become. But first he needs to be able to hold his spear straight!

The three poses for our February 2026 release are featuring some more dynamic poses and one relaxed. Petalward may be able to keep up with the youngsters, but he still loves taking it easy with some acorn brew.

Combat Ready:

Years of experience has honed Petalward’s combat effectiveness and sharpened him into a strict mentor. The new recruits better get serious about their weapon training!

Shields Up:

The great shield of the Crystal Order is an impenetrable defense against the foes of Wonderstone City, and no bug wields it better than Petalward.

At Ease:

As a Knight of the Crystal Order of Wonderstone, Petalward understands the necessity of rest is as important as training. A good mug of nectar mead soothes stiff muscles and nurses sore bruises after a hard day's work.

Post-Processing

Unless specifically indicated otherwise, resin prints by default are Unsanded and Unprimed.

Due to the nature of the printing process, Unsanded and Unprimed models may include small imperfections from the removal of supports. When building supports and placing drainage holes on models, I do my best to place them in less conspicuous areas, though it isn't always possible.

Sanded and Primed models are intended to be ready-to-paint, with no further processing required on the customer's end. I do my best to repair and/or sand away visible support marks, with any remaining surface imperfections located either at the model's base or within hard-to-reach crevices.

B-Grade prints are sold as-is. Often they are the first prints of a specific model with minor flaws such as visible layer offsets or misplaced drainage holes. Occasionally B-Grade prints are broken, and will include all pieces for repair. Please feel free to inquire with questions about a specific B-Grade print.

Packaging

Models made up of multiple pieces will by default ship unassembled.

Unsanded and Unprimed models will ship in bubble wrap or similar padding, but will not otherwise include aesthetic packaging.

Unless otherwise requested, Sanded and Primed models will ship with an iridescent zip-closure standing pouch and a full-color printed label. The pouch may possibly be shipped flat with the model to save the printed label from damage. Pouches can be but are never heat sealed on my end.

Older packaging may include minor wear and tear from travel to and from conventions, markets, and other shows.

If your Sanded and Primed order is a gift, please feel free to request fresh packaging.
Note that these miniatures are not toys. They may be delicate and contain small parts. The resin used is not food safe - please do not use in contact with food. Children should always be supervised when handling miniatures. Please handle with care.

Safety

My resin prints are always cured and
afterwards washed in warm water and dish soap. There may possibly be some lingering resin or spray primer odor which should disperse with exposure to open air.

Note that these models are intended as blank canvases to paint and display. They may be delicate and contain small parts. The resin used is not food safe - please do not use in contact with food. Children should always be supervised when handling resin prints. Please handle with care.

Sustainability

I re-use bubble wrap, foam, and paper padding whenever possible.
