Dimple Mags is based on a leaf cutter ant and a rogue! The design for him took a couple of different iterations, but finally came together when we added a little hint of another famous fantasy race: the Kobold! We imagine these little guys live in a colony together, scurrying in their burrows beneath the soil, tending to their aphid livestock, and nurturing their fungal gardens, and of course, keeping secreted away from the world above. For just thus reason, they are experts at stealthy, unnoticeable movement and make excellent thieves and rogues.

While Dimple Mags is no different in those regards, this little Leaf Shaper prefers a more solitary lifestyle. The big colonies give him a headache with their hustle and bustle, and he longs for a simple, easy life that (in his mind) nobody seems to allow. While everyone else is toiling away, he prefers to lounge and relax with a good mushroom snack. While others tunnel in the ground, he prefers to be up above, keeping watch for intruders. Lazy, insensitive, and a little selfish, Dimple Mags cares very little about work and quite a bit about the easy life, but he will come through whenever something threatens the colony. He may be harsh, but you can always count on him to speak the truth.

Dimple was in the "up world", surveying the land when he was blown by a storm into a far part of the forest. Lost, separated from the colony, Dimple Mags tried his best to get home. But he was truly lost. So our little band of Arthrofolk finds him, using prickly sarcasm to disguise how lonely and scared he felt. He is secretly grateful they let him join their merry band and will do what he can to aid them... in secret, of course.

Post-Processing

Unless specifically indicated otherwise, resin prints by default are Unsanded and Unprimed.

Due to the nature of the printing process, Unsanded and Unprimed models may include small imperfections from the removal of supports. When building supports and placing drainage holes on models, I do my best to place them in less conspicuous areas, though it isn't always possible.

Sanded and Primed models are intended to be ready-to-paint, with no further processing required on the customer's end. I do my best to repair and/or sand away visible support marks, with any remaining surface imperfections located either at the model's base or within hard-to-reach crevices.

B-Grade prints are sold as-is. Often they are the first prints of a specific model with minor flaws such as visible layer offsets or misplaced drainage holes. Occasionally B-Grade prints are broken, and will include all pieces for repair. Please feel free to inquire with questions about a specific B-Grade print.

Packaging

Models made up of multiple pieces will by default ship unassembled.

Unsanded and Unprimed models will ship in bubble wrap or similar padding, but will not otherwise include aesthetic packaging.

Unless otherwise requested, Sanded and Primed models will ship with an iridescent zip-closure standing pouch and a full-color printed label. The pouch may possibly be shipped flat with the model to save the printed label from damage. Pouches can be but are never heat sealed on my end.

Older packaging may include minor wear and tear from travel to and from conventions, markets, and other shows.

If your Sanded and Primed order is a gift, please feel free to request fresh packaging.
Note that these miniatures are not toys. They may be delicate and contain small parts. The resin used is not food safe - please do not use in contact with food. Children should always be supervised when handling miniatures. Please handle with care.

Safety

My resin prints are always cured and
afterwards washed in warm water and dish soap. There may possibly be some lingering resin or spray primer odor which should disperse with exposure to open air.

Note that these models are intended as blank canvases to paint and display. They may be delicate and contain small parts. The resin used is not food safe - please do not use in contact with food. Children should always be supervised when handling resin prints. Please handle with care.

Sustainability

I re-use bubble wrap, foam, and paper padding whenever possible.
